The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians hosted its quarterly Tribal Charitable Con­
tribution Fund distribution and reception event May 1 at the Chinook Winds Hotel.
The Tribe has shared more than $5 million throughout the state of Oregon since
the inception of the Siletz Tribal Charitable Contribution Fund and awarded $286,240
in charitable donations this quarter.
The charitable distribution covers cultural activities like the support that goes to
13 Grandmothers of Grants Pass. The $17,000 shared with them covers expenses like
lodging, meals and transportation to important cultural events and activities.
