CHINOOK WINDS CASINO RESORT Charley Pride Returns to the Beach John DiResta Headlines Comedy on the Coast Don't forget to get your tickets for Comedy on the Coast at Chinook Winds on Nov. 2-3. John DiResta will headline the laughs along with Milt Abel and the magical Jeffrey Steele. DiResta is the real deal, a true co medic mixed-martial artist. He has done more than 2,500 live standup gigs all over the world and has been a panel guest on The Tonight Show. lunging out of seven-story windows as a stuntman. Some of his credits during this foray include The Specialist, JFK and Letha! Weapon 3. His standup comedy and magic have been described as fast paced and highly interactive, and most of his jokes are referenced to his life experience. Comedy on the Coast begins at 8 p.m. For this age-21 - and-over event, doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with a no-host bar. Show tickets are $15. The legendary Charley Pride will perform live at Chinook Winds on Nov. 9-10. Over the past 30 years, Pride has remained one of the Top 20 best-sell ing country artists of all time. His in credible legacy comprises more than 70 million albums sold, 31 gold and four platinum albums - including one quadruple platinum. Born to poor sharecroppers as one of 11 children, Pride has had an illus trious music career that landed him in the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2000. He played FBI agent Klonsky in both Miss Congeniality and Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous, and portrayed Matthew McConaughey’s brother in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. DiResta also is a grizzled TV vet eran. He had his own UPN sitcom, DiResta. and has hosted and executive produced two separate building shows, Trash to Cash on FX and Hammered, currently running on the HGTV network. Abel started performing in college, eventually writing, directing and acting in his own plays. A headlining standup comedian for more than 10 years, he has performed throughout the United States and Canada in venues ranging from corporate engagements to cruise ships, from television to bars. Abel has appeared on PBS' Comedy Tonight hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, A&E's Good Time Café, four spots on A&E's Evening at the Improv, the Com edy Channel's Comics Only and Two Drink Minimum, and Showtime's Com edy Club Network. An actor, comedian and long-time regular performer at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. Steele has been entertaining since the age of 14 with his quick wit and close-up sleight-of- hand magic.
