This year it's being held at the Portland Building and will be promoted to all city employees and be open to any other people who wish to attend. This event is a highlight of Novem ber's Native American Heritage Month celebration. Scholarship Announcement for Native American/Alaska Native Natural Resource Students Deadline: March 31, 2008, 5 p.m. Award: $2,000 for college students (number of awards varies per year); $1,500 for graduating senior high school students Purpose: The Truman I). Picard Scholarship Program is dedicated to the support of Native American stu dents pursuing higher education in natural resources.
