Stand for Children Scholarships Stand for Children (www.stand.org/ or/) is pleased to announce the avail ability of college scholarship applica tions for Oregon public school students who have succeeded academically de spite hardships such as poverty, disabil ity, homelessness or personal tragedy and plan to graduate in June 2008 and enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college. This fall, Stand for Children will award three $2,500 renewable schol arships to college-bound Oregon pub lic high school seniors who have “Beat the Odds” by succeeding in school despite daunting obstacles. Scholar ships will be presented at the “Beat the Odds” Scholarship Awards and Fund- raising Luncheon on Nov. 14 at the Oregon Zoo.
