CHINOOKWINDS PASSAGES Neil Sedaka Entertains Generations of Fans Tickets are on sale now for rock and pop music star Neil Sedaka, who will bring his well-known hits to Chi nook Winds on July 20-21. For more than four decades, Sedaka's timeless standards have helped change the face of popular music, with count less hit singles like Breaking Up Is Hard To Do and co-writing other hits, includ ing Tom Jones’ Puppet Man. Live performances have always been a hallmark of the Sedaka career and have taken him to some of the most hallowed and respected concert stages around the world. His concerts con tinue to be enormous draws in Las Ve gas, Reno, and Atlantic City. With a career spanning five de Neil Sedaka cades, a rare feat in the entertainment world, Sedaka never ceases to amaze. He won over a whole new generation of fans when he appeared as a guest judge on Fox Network’s American Idol. View ers from young pre-teens to those who go back with Sedaka when he was a teen idol tuned in and the new era of Neil Sedaka began. Sedaka has performed on behalf of the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer’s Association, among many other charities. All of these ventures will no doubt add to his legend - that of a consummate musician, an extraordinary vocalist, and an ageless songwriting talent. Show time is 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 to $45. Alonzo Bodden Headlines the Laughter at Comedy at the Coast Tickets are on sale now for the July edition of Comedy on the Coast at Chinook Winds. Last Comic Standings Alonzo Bodden will keep you laughing along side Bobby Kosser and Mike “Wally” Walters on July 27-28. Alonzo Bodden will headline the evening with his “cynically good- natured” comedy. He graduated from Aviation High School and went on to work as a jet mechanic for nine years. After realizing he spent more of his time telling co-workers jokes than training them, he decided to study comedy. Bodden's first real break came when he opened for Tommy Davidson of In Living Color. This sent his career into orbit. Bodden has appeared on such TV shows as the Last Comic Stand ing and Late Night with Conan O Brien. Bodden wanted to do something positive with his comedy, so he began touring with the USO. He has joked with troops in Kuwait, Thule, Green land, Azores Island, Spain, Central America, Panama, and other points around the world. It’s a safe bet that Bodden is the only man on earth who helped build the stealth fighter and entertain its pilots. Bobby Kosser is fresh and funny without all the smut. He has had nu merous guest shots on such shows as The Tonight Show and the Late Show with David Letterman. Walters began his comedy career way back in 1982, when you still had to be funny to get a gig. He is not afraid to tackle the delicate issues of relation ships, childbirth, and travel - and stamps them with his own sense of humor. Show time is 8 p.m. for this age 21 and over event.
