Van Noy Named
2006 Employee
of the Year
Marlene Van Noy was named Em
ployee of the Year at the Winter All
Staff meeting for the employees of the
Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians.
She is the QI coordinator for the
Siletz Community Health Clinic. She
was nominated for her work in coordi
nating the clinic staff’s efforts to ob
tain accreditation from the Accredita
tion Association for Ambulatory Health
Care. Inc. (AAAHC).
Although accreditation is an
organization-wide achievement,
Marlene Van Noy pulled every
piece together in the months
leading to the survey dates
of July 13 and 14.
Her nomination included the fol
lowing information:
Although accreditation is an orga
nization-wide achievement, Marlene
Van Noy pulled every piece together
in the months leading to the survey
dates of July 13 and 14.
Marlene “rallied the troops” to
complete their policies and procedures,
quality improvement studies and files
to prepare for the survey.
Accreditation is granted based on
evidence that an organization meets,
and will continue to meet, nationally
accepted standards in 24 areas of per
formance. Our recent survey achieved
substantial compliance in all applicable
areas. A full three-year accreditation
was granted, the highest score possible.
The entire clinic staff is to be
complimented; however Marlene de
serves special recognition for her un
tiring efforts.
