Kenny Bob Davis
Comedy on the Coast Brings in
Classic Stand-Up
Comedy on the Coast is in its third
year of showcasing professional stand up
comedians from Las Vegas, Los Angeles,
New York City, and all over America. On
Sept. 2-3, all three comedians - Kenny
Bob Davis, Joe Restivo, and Tim
Haldeman - have performed at Chinook
Winds at least once a year since the in
ception of this popular comedy series.
Kenny Bob Davis is well acquainted
with Oregon audiences. He recently opened
for Larry Gatlin at the Lincoln County
Fair and was the producer of the first Pa
cific Northwest Comedy Competition.
Davis started his career in show busi
ness as a guitar-playing folk-singer in the
‘60s. In 1978, thanks to Eddie Rabbitt,
he started a new phase of his career by
becoming an opening-act comedian.
Since then, he has opened for Kenny
Rogers, Alabama, and Gatlin. Davis’ tele
vision and movie credits include, ER,
Mad TV, Gremlins, and Murder She Wrote.
Whether you know it or not. you have
probably seen Tim Haldeman. The ac-
tor/stand-up comic has performed in more
than 100 television shows and movies.
Among his many credits are appear
ances on House, The West Wing, Malcolm
In The Middle, ER, The Drew Carey Show,
Sabrina The Teenage Witch, and Third
Rock From The Sun.
Over the last decade, Haldeman has
developed a stand-up routine that he has
performed across the country, including
at The Sahara in Las Vegas and at the
Atlantis Hotel in Atlantic City.
Joe Restivo began his comedy career
writing for Rodney Dangerfield, Freddie
Prinze, and Joan Rivers. He later pursued
a career as a stand-up comedian, opening
for such entertainers as Rogers, Gladys
Knight, and Pat Benatar.
Restivo has been a guest star on more
than 100 network television productions,
including Seinfeld, NYPD Blue, Tales From
The Crypt, Hill St. Blues, and Hooperman.
He currently produces, writes, and stars
on his own bi-weekly radio show Vinny
Goes To The Movies, syndicated by The
American Comedy Network.
Comedy on the Coast begins at 8 p.m.,
doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $12.
