CHINOOK WINDS CASINO RESORT “Typical American Male” Comedy Comes to the Coast On July 8-9, Comedy on the Coast will host three professional stand-up comedians. Together, Mike Pace, Bob Kubota, and Gary Brightwell will dem onstrate what’s funny about and for the typical American male. Michael Pace’s facial expressions and punch lines have been compared to Silly Putty and Sunday comic strips. Most recently, he can be seen on TBS’ Very Funny Live and HBO’s award-winning series Curb Your Enthusiasm. This Emmy award nominee (for his work as host of Comic Relief) is hilari ous enough to have opened for top-name comedians, including Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen Degeneres and Drew Carey - making him a comedian’s comedian. Bob Kubota doesn't just do comedy mixed with magic. He’d rather take small, everyday items (playing cards, coins and dollars, jewelry, or rubber bands) and right under a person’s nose - in plain sight - perform sleight of hand that is beyond belief Kubota has been seen on Evening at the Improv, Make Me Laugh, Stand-Up Spotlight, and MTV's Comedy Hour. In addition, he has performed extensively Rock’s Favorite Couple Plays at Chinook Winds Pat Benatar’s polished mainstream pop-style rock music made her one of the most popular female vocalists. On July 22-23, she and guitarist/husband Neil Giraldo will perform at Chinook Winds Casino Resort. Michael Pace Bob Kubota throughout the world with the USO Armed Forces Tours. Gary Brightwell began his leap into comedy while studying engineering at Cal State-Long Beach. Since he made that decision, Brightwell and his observational humor have been featured on many com edy shows, including NBC’s Friday Night, A&E’s Comedy on the Road, and a PBS comedy special entitled Can We Be Serious. He also has opened for Garry Shandling, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, and many oth ers. Brightwell also has traveled exten sively all over the world for the USO and Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE), en tertaining our currently deployed troops.
