TRIBAL MEMBER NEWS Nicholas Chadwick Viles Nicholas Chadwick Viles has gradu ated summa cum laude (top 2 percent of university graduating class) from the University of Oregon. His senior thesis, "Abolishing the In dian: John Beeson, Abolitionist Manhood, and American Indian Reform,'' was se lected as the best thesis by the faculty of the Robert D. Clark Honors College, earn ing Nicholas the 2005 President’s Award. Nicholas also was awarded the John A. Schwab Memorial Endowed Scholarship by the faculty of the History Department in recognition of excellence in scholarship. Awarded both a B.A. in history (with honors) and a B.A. in Spanish (with hon ors), Nicholas also has been initiated into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor So ciety after being selected upon the recommendation of the university faculty as one of Michael Johnson Alex Moralez by the Johnson family, with love the top six University of Oregon graduating seniors, (photo by Jerome Mason Viles) A big congratulations to Michael Much love from Mom, Grandma Esther, Greg, Joe, Anthony, Samantha, Daniel, Vera, Mike, Tehya and Natani!
