Please list your talents, hobbies, clubs, school, and church activities, honors re­
ceived, etc:
You must have a responsible adult sponsor who will be able to help you attend
designated organizational meetings, activities, parades, fund-raisers, and sched­
uled appearances, unless a written request is submitted to the royalty coordinator
and the absence is excused in advance. These events are listed in the royalty
travel schedule.
You will be disqualified if you miss three scheduled events without cause and the
first-up will then perform your duties.
You must be drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free; any misconduct will result in dis­
qualification from the court.
If at any time you become pregnant, you will be disqualified from the court.
You are required to have complete regalia (traditional, fancy, or jingle).
You must be willing to dance at all pow-wows and scheduled events (assistance
with dance instruction will be available, if needed).
You must be willing to speak in public.
You must be willing, by your behavior, to present the tribe in the best possible
manner.
You are expected to show good judgment and not participate in activities that
would bring adverse publicity to yourself or the tribe while you are a member of
the court.
When attending a scheduled function, all royalty will be in appropriate attire/
regalia, traditional or modern. The following is not considered appropriate attire
- mini skirts, bare midriffs, low-cut shirts, and heavy makeup. If you have body
piercing (other than ears), it should be removed while attending functions. If you
have tattoos, they should be covered during functions.
Consequences for misconduct will include, but are not limited to, verbal warn­
ings, written warnings, reduction or suspension of mileage reimbursement for
three events, reduction or suspension of out-of-state travel paid for, parent or
Royalty Court member giving verbal or written apology, and in severe cases,
removal of title and crown permanently. The royalty advisors and Pow-Wow
Committee reserve the right to discuss and administer discipline, depending
on severity.
The above guidelines apply to each candidate. If not honored, you will be dis­
qualified from the court and forfeit any title won.
There may be other requirements not mentioned in these guidelines. If other re­
quirements are imposed on the court, you will be notified in advance and will be
required to follow them.
