CHINOOK WINDS CASINO RESORT Top Female Professional Billiards Players Return National 9-Ball Championship Brings in Renowned Players Jeanette Lee, Allison Fisher, Karen Corr, and 60 more of the world’s top female billiards players are coming to Lincoln City, Ore. On Nov. 10-14, the ladies of the Women’s Professional Billiards Asso ciation (WPBA) will compete in the Cuetec Cues National 9-Ball Champion ship at Chinook Winds Casino Resort. The tension will be high and the playing will be tough. But for diehard fans, recent admirers, and those just curious, this is an event that can’t be missed. It provides those who watch the matches on ESPN an opportunity to see them live and in-person. Last year, audience members were on the edge of their seats as top player Allison Fisher and fourth-ranked Jeannette Lee battled it out to see who would end the year as the WPBA 9-Ball champion. As Fisher sank that last ball, the crowd erupted in applause and she remained No. 1 in the world. This year, the quiet and intense Karen Corr has made it to No. 2 and really could give Fisher a tough match. And with Jeanette Lee currently ranked No. 3 and Helena Thornfeldt as No. 4, who will get to the finals is anyone's guess. On Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m., the Pro- Am Celebrity Shootout will benefit My Sister’s Place, a local shelter for women and children.
