It’s Happening at Chinook Winds in November...
by teres* Simmons
Sniegowski Becomes Games Manager
Lenny Sniegowski was recently
hired as the games manager for
Chinook Winds Casino. He is
responsible for the day-to-day
operations of table games and poker.
The games manager position
requires an individual with a broad
knowledge of gaming in several dif
ferent jurisdictions, precisely what Lenny
possesses. His vast resume includes
experience in California, Nevada, Iowa,
Mississippi, and New Jersey.
While Lenny was obtaining his
chemistry degree (with double minors
in math and physics) at the University
of Iowa, Harrah’s Casino came to
campus to recruit games dealers. He
was hired to work the summer as a craps
dealer in Lake Tahoe, Nev.
Lenny’s extensive gaming experi
ence and wisdom continued to accumu
late through the years. Most recently,
he spent 18 months as a shift manager
at Fantasy Springs in Indio, Calif.
Previously, he spent three and a half
years as casino operations manager at
the Horizon Casino Resort in Lake Tahoe.
While with Horizon, he served as acting
general manager for the Lighthouse
Point Casino in Greenville, Miss.
Opening new casinos has been one
of his specialties. Besides the Green-
Baffle at the Beach IV
ville property, Lenny also opened the
Kanesville Queen in Council Bluffs,
Iowa, while employed for its parent
company, Harvey’s Casino Hotel in
Lake Tahoe.
“I opened Atlantic City as part of
the opening staff for Resorts Inter
national, the first casino in the city,” said
Lenny. In his six years in New Jersey,
he also served as director of Training
at the Playboy Casino.
Along with really enjoying living
in the area, Lenny is very impressed
with Chinook Winds Casino and its
employees. “I want to share my
expertise with everyone in my
department. There’s a lot I’d like to
impart on customer service and
professionalism,” he said. ‘‘I’m lucky
Lenny Sniegowski
enough to have some very eager team
members in my area.”
