NOTICES INROADS Offers Internship Opportunities INROADS is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to developing and placing talented minority youth in business and industry and preparing them for corporate and community leadership. INROADS recruits outstanding students of color, beginning in their senior year of high school, with a 3.0 GPA and 900 SAT, or college freshmen and sophomores with a 2.8 GPA who are attending or plan to attend a four-year college or university and pursue a career in business, engineering, or any technology-related major. Interns will receive a paid multi-summer internship (competitive wages for full-time summer employment) at one of INROADS’ corporate sponsors. Through INROADS, college tutorial support, corporate mentorship programs, and access to more than 900 of the nation’s leading companies are available. Students also could receive scholarships through corporate sponsors. And to top everything off, students have great potential for full-time employment after graduation with one of INROADS’ corporate sponsors. Over the past five years, about eight of 10 graduates who received offers from their INROADS sponsor company accepted full-time employment with it. INROADS college internships combine two to five summers of paid work experience at a local client organization with year-round academic instruction, training, and guidance from INROADS counselors. Corporate sponsor organizations make a commitment to provide career-related summer work experience for interns, staff involvement as mentors, supervisorsand liaison with INROADS, and financial support.
