Three New Regional
Sales Executives
on Board
Chinook Winds has expanded its sales
staff to include three more regional sales
executives. Kent Strickler, Joe Williams, and
Steve Chrisman were hired in September
to bring the usage of the 20,000-square-
foot convention center, the largest on the
Oregon Coast, to its highest potential.
Kent Strickler, a member of the
Confederated Tribes of Siletz, is a native of
Lincoln County. He attended Evergreen
State College near Olympia, Wash., and
graduated with a BA in business. While
attending college, he was selected to attend
the Summer Venture Program in
Management at Harvard Business School
in Boston, Mass. Strickler also completed
a summer internship program with Dean
Witter Reynolds.
Strickler’s past accomplishments
include owning and operating his own
timber corporation, wholesale sales
manager for the Siletz Tribal Smokehouse,
international trade specialist for the
American Indian Trade Council and general
manager of the Confederated Tribes
of Siletz.
He stated that he is “pleased with the

incredibly flexible center.”
Williams will base his office in
Vancouver, Wash.
Steve Chrisman has a sales

his new position, Chrisman stated, “I am
thrilled to have the opportunity to work at
such a spendid gaming establishment. The
rest of 2000 and all of 2001 are going to be
great. It is my intention to help make
Chinook Winds the premier convention
location in the Northwest.”
Chrisman, Williams, and Strickler join
veteran sales executive Martin Wheeler,
who has been with the casino for several
