Eligibility requirements include: • Save Money at Newport Apartments Newport Legal Aid Office Moves to New Location The offices of Legal Aid Services of Oregon have moved to 304 SW Coast Highway in Newport. The new office is on the corner of Highway 101 and Lee Street, across from Bank of the West. The new building has a large marine mural with a clipper ship on the side. Legal Aid Services of Oregon is a statewide non-profit organization that offers free legal services, legal education materials, and referral services. The local office serves low- income and elderly Lincoln County residents. The office offers special programs for victims of domestic violence and Siletz tribal members. Chemawa Seeks School Board Members The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians has entered into an agreement with the Little Creek Apartments in Newport. A $50 monthly discount is available on two-bedroom apartments for Tribal members or employees of the Tribe or Chinook Winds Casino. The apartments are located at 365 NE 36th St., nestled in the trees just two blocks from Highway 101. The complex features lush landscaping with a number of picnic areas, three fenced playgrounds, a walking trail, laundry facilities and on-site management. An expanded free video selection is available. Two-bedroom and three- bedroom apartments are available. All units have forced-air heat and all appliances, plus a ceiling fan. The three- bedroom units also have a second full bathroom and washer/dryer hookups. Two-bedroom units rent for $425/ month after the $50 discount. Each qualified voter may sign only one nomination petition. The petition, along with the candidate’s resume, should be filed with the school by Sept. 3, 1999. Submit materials to: Louis J.
