Body of missing student found 0 The body of Brandon Powell, 18, was found Friday, April 28, in the Clackamas River near McIver Park. Powell was a Clackamas Community College student and athlete on the track and field team. “ [The body was] found 160 yards north [of the] boat ramp,” said Sandy Police public information officer Sam Craven. “ The medical examiner doesn’t suspect foul play.” Powell has been missing since March 12. He was reported missing by his mother, who said he had a mental breakdown and ran out of the home early in the morning wearing nothing but pajama bottom's. According to the Sandy Police press release, the medical examiner confirmed the body as Powell’s, on Monday, May 1. This year’s sessions included “ Interviewing and fake news” by Samantha Swindler from “ The Oregonian,” “ Photography” by Andy Nelson from “ The Register Guard” and “ The Journey from Oregon State to Sports Illustrated” by Lindsay Schnelh The awards luncheon began after the sessions. Around noon, “ The Clackamas Print*’ won 17 awards, seven o f which were for first place. These included best special section for “ The Clackamas Plant” in volume 49 issue 12, first place best news story and best sports story by former sports editor Katie Archer, best sports photo, best editorial, best feature storyandfirst place for best website, which you can view at theclaGkamasprint.com. Two Clackamas Print writers won awards in the category of best writing, Merari Calderon Ruiz, who was slaying theawards, was the recipient of the third place best writing award.
