This snowstorm continued through the rest of the week and weekend. Students were finally able to return to school on the 18th. Trying to get through the snow and ice maybe stressful on its own, but missing a week o f school and a number of deadlines is worse. After going through this crazy snow attack, welcome back Cougars! Below are some deadlines that have been extended due to the weather. The drop course deadline and the deadline to make a payment is now Jan.27. “A little bit of a spike, ‘cause the vet erans were a little bit worried about their benefits and/or paperwork going through because of school closures as well as getting added or dropped from classes. They were also concerned about that. The faculty adjusted for that appropriately” BIB-— Jay Hernandez, student Co Editors-in-Chief Blake Swan Victoria Tinker chiefed@clackamas.edu Copy Editor Kristen Wohlers copyed@clackamas.edu Photo Editor Austin Boltz . photoed@clackamas.edu News Editor Elizabeth Kessel newsed@clackamas.edu Arts & Culture Editor Merari Calderon Ruiz aced@clackamas.edu Sports Editor Travis David V Whittaker sportsed@clackamas.edu Opinion Editor Collin Berend oped@clackgmas.edu Web Editor Alexis Wagar webeditor@clackamas.edu Design Editor Chelsea Pagan Ad Manager David Avis admgr@clackamas.edu - compiled by Elizabeth Kessel and Collin Berend “We’re trying to power through this week since we’re a week behind. For my Business 205, we had to create groups and we’re doing this huge project, so we’re like a week behind so we’re kind of stuck. But we’re figuring things out now.” — Diana Navarro, student “Well, it was stressful for me.” — Tasha Clark, bus operator “It just kind of threw me off like ev eryone else, you know? You just didn’t show up.” — Ryan Ritter, student “It affected us very much. In enrollment, when we came back from the storm, we had Jg| students lined up for several days in Rog er Rook hall trying to get their schedules figured out, ‘cause they had to get instruc tors consent. A lot of them dropped classes because they felt they were too far behind. So I think enrollment is down right now.” — Donna Ford, Enrollment Services STAFF WRITERS & PHOTOGRAPHERS Nick Allison Doug Fry Marjorie Guttery James Harley Tim Vixay Sam Weston o u L- CL “Well, it increased our workload. We have a much larger workload because were backlogged for a week. So, unfor tunately, it delayed our processing time, but we’re able to, therefore, extend the deadline for students.” — Travis Swanson, Enrollment Services “It’s kind of hard getting back to class, but I’ve only been to one of my classes so far still. So that’s kind of tough, knowing what to do. But for the most part it’s going smoothly for me.” — Brittany Kelly, student “It takes a week out of our curric ulum, and it was awkward getting home that Tuesday night, I have to say? — Douglas Watson, anatomy and physiology instructor CO fU E ns u U CD Donald Trump took office is the 45th president on Jan. 20.
