Clackamas Community College may have th e solution for you. “It was a huge concern to see students who were turned away and unable to board.” - Luke Norman school since spring term of 2015, is a key factor in th e safety and reliability of this service. Golden’s route is the direct line from Clackamas Town Center to the CCC Oregon City campus. According to Golden, after the addition of the third shuttle, he only notices a rush during th e night. “The last two runs of th e shift th e re’s only one shuttle, so it gets really busy,” said Golden. Part tim e student Liz Miller suggested more shuttle run times during finals week. More updates to th e shuttle are also a possibility in th e future as a result of the $90 million bond passed by voters in 2014. Norman has expressed th e possibility of adding an additional shuttle stop near the Clairmont parking lot at th e Oregon City campus due to th e construction activity shutting down sections of th e large Bar- low parking lot. W ith th e c o n s tru c tio n ta k in g away parking o p tio n s for stu d e n ts, and th e Clairm ont parking lot being located far from many other campus buildings and facilities, th e shuttle would prevent stu dents from having to take long walks in th e rain, and help p revent th em from being late to class. The proposed shuttle extension would likely run between Clair m ont and the current shuttle stop located by Roger Rook and the Community Center. For students who need other transpor tation alternatives and don’t live near the shuttle stops, they can purchase TriMet passes at the Oregon City campus book store, although Golden advises to use the shuttle if possible. “From w hat kids are telling me, it takes roughly an hour on TriMet because you have all th e stops, versus 15 m inutes on my sh u ttle,” said Golden.
