It’s back. As promised the fourth installment of
the Terminator saga hit theaters on May 21st.
Those who are fans of the old Terminator movies
have been looking forward to this movie ever since
the end of the first Terminator movie when the little
Mexican boy says, “There’s a storm coming.” And
Sarah Connor says, “I know...” because this movie
is about that storm.
And like most storms, they end with disaster.
Terminator Salvation takes place several years
after Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Skynet,
the missile defense system that became self aware
and destroyed most of humanity, has taken over the
world and is cranking out terminators to hunt down
and kill the surviving humans. Amongst the chaos
is the human resistance who are fighting a loosing
battle to save humanity. John Connor, whom at this
point is only a soldier of the resistance and a man
named Marcus Wright, become John Connor’s only
hope for victory.'
The story does a good job of tying together
everything from the older movies and stays very
true to the original source material but as an J
action movie it falls short. It’s supposed to be
about a war between man and machine but
save for a few small skirmishes, an attack
from a giant terminator and a very brief
jet dogfight, there are really no epic full-
scale battles to be seen. Even when they J
