(Continued from page 1) Bcrney shares this grateful feeling of being nominated. “In high school I wasn’t a really great student,” she said. “I never would have guessed that I would have been so blessed to be at this point It’s pretty incredible to have anyone nominate you.” Students only receive the scholar ship money if they attend one of the' Oregon schools participating with the award. Schiely and Bcrney arc both unsure of which college they would like to attend. Schiely plans to study health .sci ences and go into nursing,- while Bcrney would like to go into a field involving language, such as interna tional studies or an intercultural studies missions program. The awards ceremony itself was quite an honor for the scholars. The ceremony . began at the Capitol, where they got to meet Gov.
