They defeated Treasure Valley by scores of 30-13, 30-14 and 30-19. They went on to face Tacoma CC in the championship game. The Cougars defeated Tacoma by scores of 30-22, 27-30, 30-13 and 30-16. The Cougars are ranked number one in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges’ (NWAA.CC) Coaches’ Poll. They are also in first place in the NWAACC Southern Region with a league record of 7-1. “What’s most important is that you are number one in league,” said Woods. “When you are ranked number one, people defi nitely want to upset you. Teams we have come across are out to get us; it has really helped us stay focused. We know that every match will be tough.” On Nov. 7 the Cougars will play their last home game of the year against Southwestern Oregon CC at 7 p.m. in the Clackamas gym.
