Bottom left: Ruella, played by Dawnie Drebin, shares a drink to calm Poopay's nerves after death scare. Bottom right: Newlyweds Reece (Jason Morrill) and Jessica (Jayne Stevens) are surprised by a mysterious visitor. In Reece’s fight to try to persuade Poopay to sign the confession as a witness and take it to his law yers to notarize he finds him self fighting for life and breath. Poopay then calls for Julian who was is in another room waiting. Julian runs in just as Poopay is about to leave and demands to know what hap pened. Poopay tries to play dumb, but Julian is too sly for her and makes her stay there. He finds the confession and asks if she’s read it. This part will change everything. Poopay is now running for her life. Poopay finds herself locked in the “communicating door” and is whisked into the room 20 years prior, 1994, face to face with Ruella, who is played by Dawnie Drebin. Ruella is Reece’s second wife and de mands to know what Poopay is doing in her room. At this point Poopay is in a little shock. Ruella calls for the hotel secu rity detective named Harold, played by Ben Walker. Harold escorts the distraught Poopay out of the room, but not before she reveals to Ruella she is go ing to die on the day her hus band is in Greece buying rub ber, which just happens to be that very evening. Still read ing? Do I have you hooked? You should be, I am. Needless to say, various events lead Ruella to believe Poopay. Ruella, in turn, goes through the door and is brought face to face with her husband’s previous wife, Jes sica, on their wedding night in 1974. Jessica,‘played by Jayne Stevens, was drowned in 1981. This was said to be an accident, but you should know by now that Julian is devious and if you don’t—Are you skimming para graphs? Ruella really believes and re cruits Poopay to stop the impend ing death of herself and Jessica from happening. Of course, at this point the dominatrix has turned into a sniveling yellow belly. After much coaxing, they come up with a plot to get Julian. But can they survive? Will their plan work? Join others and myself in a time warp that will give you something to talk about while reveling in the abilities of the actors and actresses in “Com municating Doors.” If you like murder mysteries, intrigue and you like it wrapped with a neat little bow of humor and irony, check it out. Or you could read the play, but, it won’t come with the visual mastery and direction that be longs to David Smith-English or the cast he conducts. Virgo (August 23- September 22): Do something productive this week. Paint a room in your house, build a treehouse or write a poem. Creativity is running through you like mad, take ad vantage of it. Cuddle up on the sofa with a soft blankie, pop fire to the Capricorn’s chilly mergoat. Be sure to take advan tage of this. This diametric op position will be almost imper ceptible at first, but soon the Capricorn will drop money. Claim it and the mergoat will be forced to concede to your over whelming personality.
