After living on the east coast for
some time, Nedelcu and her hus
band came to Oregon in 1995.
“I like Oregon very much. The
scenery is absolutely beautiful and
the people are nice as well,”
Nedelcu said.
“The quality* of life here is so
different. On the east coast, the
people work more, for less money,
and the rhythm of life is so much
faster, so you are quite privileged
here in Oregon. I think it’s a very
good place to start a family.”
In addition to working as a
Clackamas instructor, Nedelcu also
works at Clackamas as an employee
of Intel, to prepare graduates for en
try-level jobs in the field of micro
electronics.
“My position is paid by Intel and
we are very successful with our pro
gram. Because of lacking funds, we
had only three students last year,
but this year, about 30 students are
participating in the pro
gram and we have lots of
phone calls for next term,”
Nedelcu explained.
In her free time, Nedelcu
enjoys reading books,
playing tennis and travel
ing.
“Traveling is my first
love, and. I have been all
over. I quite enjoy see
ing other people— the
differences and things
we have in common,”
she said.
When asked about
Clackamas, Nedelcu de
scribed it as a “wonder
ful place.”
“The place is so clean
and there is so much
space, you don’t feel invaded.
Especially the people are so nice.
I think it’s a great team and I’m
happy to be part of it.”

The Ron Escheté Trio puts on jazz clinic
Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19):
You are on a mission, a mission
that will-call for some detective
work. So make like Dick Tracy
and complete your task. Your
key for completion is keeping a
low profile.
Taurus (Apr 20- May 20):
They will hate to see you go,
but sometimes you just need to
walk away. Guess what? Now is
one of those times. Even if you
think it’s not a good solution,
it’s a solution. This week shut
the door behind you.

Todd Johnson on bass. They held a free jazz clinic last Thursday, in Randall
Hall music room 208, for Clackamas students.
Gemini (May 21-Jiine 20):
Sometimes it’s better to not
know all of the details.
Remember that time your
parents went into great details
about their wedding night and
you found put things you just
didn’t want to know? You are
about to have another one of
those moments. Defuse the
situation.
Cancer (June 21-July 22):
Losing can be ugly and revenge
can be very gratifying, as I
know first hand. But you are
going to need to have a little
restraint. When the perfect
situation arises for revenge,
walkaway. Sounds hard but
the other consequences are not
worth your effort.
Leo (July 23-Aug 22):
It will work out in the end but
you are concerned about now.
Everyone wants instant
gratification. But guess
What? You don’t always get
what you want. This-week
make it work, just for right now.

Virgo (Aug 23-Sept 22):
Wow, did someone dare you to
wear that? This week get a
second opinion. Sometimes
even when you look in the mirror
it’s not easy to critique yourself.
Save yourself unwanted attention.
Libra (Sept 23-Oct 22):
Everything is about you.
Respect boundaries this week
and put another person’s wishes
into perspective. For example, if
some say that they don’t want to
talk to you stop calling them.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21):
Keep your eye on the ball. You
have a way of getting a little bit
side tracked. This time you can
catch the ball if you don’t look
away. This is a special ball that
will not be thrown your way
again for a while...so heads up.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21):
Oh my goodness, you actually
did it. You are on your own...for
a little while anyway. Now that
you are out of your comfort zone
you will be forced to go out and
meet people. Yes I know it
sounds crazy. This week,
go with the flow.
Capricorn (Dec22-Jan 19):
Just enjoy the ride; you didn’t
pay for the gas. There is nothing
better than a free ride. Write it
down and remember it This
week live with no worries.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18):
Take steps, out of the house
perhaps. You may have to re
mold the couch to your butt but
you can worry about that later.
So give your TV a break and go
out with friends.
Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20):
All you have to do is ask. I know
I’m talking crazy but it’s true.
This week nobody, will be able to
tell you no, so you may as well
ask now. What are you waiting
for? I’m serious; go ask now.
