A great way to increase this understanding is through learning another language and more importantly, immersing oneself in the culture. That is why Clackamas has continued this year with the summer study program in Cuernavaca, Mexico. “This is a time to expl ore our com monalties and differences with people from another culture,”1 said Ellen Wolfson, international advisor at Clackamas. Wolfson has organized the pro gram annually and is knowledgeable about the area and culture of Cuernavaca, a region, located about one and half hours south of Mexico City. Students can expect warmth in both the climate and the people of this area. “The people here are warm hearted and gracious,” said Wolfson. Students will have a lot of contact with the people by living with Mexi can families for Tow weeks. During these weeks they will study six hours Students lounge in beautiful Cuernavaca, Mexico. "The greatest part of the experi ence is taking a local bus with the families and visiting the places you wouldn’t go- to as a tourist,” said Wolfson. • There is still space for more people to sign up for the program right now.
