The Clackamas Print Wednesday, May 22,1996 O A&E Students to Perform One-Act Plays Theater students at Clackamas Community Col lege will perform several one- act plays in CCC’s McLoughlin Hall Theatre on May 28,29,30. “Naomi in the Living Room,” by Christopher Durang, is a story about the ultimate in lousy re lationship communica tion. This play will be di rected by Jim Nicodemus (Oregon City), and stars Julie Black (Vancouver, Wash.), Ed Asquith (Portland) and Danielle Turley (Milwaukie). “Variations on the Death of Trotsky” is made up of eight short hypotheses on the death of political theorist Leon Trotsky. (It’s comical. Really.) The play will be di rected by Karen Champ (Canby), and will star Franklin Kline (Oregon City), Black and Larry VanZadt (Aloha). “Infancy,” by Thornton Wilder, features BIG babies commenting on the way of the world. This play will feäture Mike Gerber (Milwaukie), Erin Covington (Clackamas), Matt Bielenberg (Scotts Mills), Black and Nicodemus. “Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll,” by Erie Bogdosian, in cludes short monologues deal ing with the title issues. Di rected by Jim Miller (Milwaukie), the cast of this play includes Matt Russell (Oregon City), Nicodemus, Aaron Pfenning (Canby), Champ, Bielenberg, Black, Jason Norton (Oregon City), Mike Gerber (Milwaukie) and Kline. “Remedial English,” by Evan Smith, features bookish Vincent, who is a tutor for dazzling, doltish Rob at Cabrini Catholic Academy. The play is a Wryly humorous treat ment of young angst. Directed by Matt Russell (Oregon City), the cast of this play fea tures Dan Cook (Port land), Champ, VartZandt, Norton, Siegfried Seeliger (Milwaukie) and Asquith. The series of plays will be performed starting at 12:30 p.m. on May 28, at noon on May 29 and at 12:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on May 30. Admission is free.
