After her presentation Fridstein will look at students’ portfolios. All interested students and staff are welcome to attend. Birthday celebration to be planned A committee for the planning of Martin Luther King’s birthday celebration on campus will be formed and will meet today at 2 p.m. in 3-224. All persons interested ¿re encouraged to attend. Jazz pianist performing today Catero Records artist Chris James will be performing in the Community Center Mall at Noon today. James, an accomplished jazz pianist, composer, and performer is widely known as a lively, energetic showman who never fails to leave an audience calling for more. 'Night1 slated to open tomorrow by Jennifer Lessard Staff Writer Baptist Student Ministries (BSM), a nation wide organiza tion on college campuses, has been growing at Clackamas for four years. Under the guidance of Direc tor Ken Harmon and a leadership team, “BSM has grown from a core group of 10 students to a enthusiastic core group of 38,” said Harmon. “Since this year began atleast 100 students have been involved in the club’s activities,” Harmon explained. According , to Harmon, the group is having some “growing pains” due to the number of stu dents involved. “We got caught off guard with not having a plan ready to handle the numbers of students who became involved,” he said. BSM is growing into a new Tennessee Williams’ compelling drama, "Night of the Iguana,” opens tomorrow, Nov. 29, at 8 p.m., in McLoughlin Hall Theater. Performances are also scheduled Nov. 30, Dec. 1,7,8 and 9. Curtain time is 8 p.m. (except Sunday, Dec. 9, at 2:30 p.m.) For more informa tion or reservations contact Barbara Bragg at extension 356 Friends of Library host authors The Friends of the Library will be presenting an evening with noted authors tomorrow, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m., in Pauling Center 101. Vocal Jazz performing Friday The 1990-91 Vocal Jazz Ensemble, along with guest appearances by several outstanding CCC alumni, will commence their performance series on Friday, Novt 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Center Mall. The nationally organized campus activity is set up on three foundations, according to Harmon. “It is Quist-centered, Qiurch- based, and student led,” he said. “(The focus if the group is) sharing the gospel on campus and the personal relationships that students can have with Christ through discipleship and spiritual growth,” Harmon stated. “When students leave Clacka mas, the church will follow them through life.
