Fulton - Sports Writer The Clackamas Cougars men’s track team claimed another first place victory over their competi tion taking them to 13-0 for the year, while the women dropped their record to 10-3, finishing in third place, behind Lane and Chemeketa. For the men, two more school records were broke. Mike Heib keeps on breaking his own rec ords, as he shattered his last jave lin toss with a distance of 224’4", blowing away the nearest compe tition by 25 feet. The other school record was set by Gabe Crane in the400 meter hurdles, taking first place victory with a time of 52.9 seconds, which was good enough to beat Randy Fish’s personal record of 55.4 seconds giving him self a second place finish. Crane also hurdled his way to a first place finish in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.8 seconds. Other finishers saw Nav Lar son run past the competition in the 400 meter dash in 47.7 sec onds. In the 100 meter dash, Fish and Todd Gibson finished third and fourth. They finished off the week end by winning their next two games. “We set out at the begin ning of the season to win the NWAACC,” said Garver. “We fell a little short, but we came out 30-3, and that’s a record any team can be proud of,” said Garver. The Cougars ended the year averaging 92 PPG,, and whip ping their opponents by an average of 32 PPG. A key to the Cougars suc cess was good balance.
