Wilson became almost assured of the league batting crown as he went 8 for 15 (in cluding a double, triple and a home-run) at a .533 clip to raise his league average to .444. He also collected seven RBI's for the week. Clackamas ended the regular season with a 19-9 mark, good enough for fourth place, three games behind league-leader Umpqua with a 22-6 record. L llackamas tallied 30 points in the meet, 'with scores ranging from Ricks College's M to Umpqua's 15. ■The highlight for Clackamas in the event, was Dave Reed's 45-7 win in the triple Mp qualifying him for the National Junior College track and field championships in Riston, Texas. ■Other team members that qualified for ■ionals during the season are Frank Gib- Ion irl the high jump (6-6), Kelley Sullivan, [in¡the three-mile (14:30.5) and 3000 meter 'steeple chase (9:21.4), and Mark Nugen, U qualified for national competition in Ihlecathlon. ■ The Cougars that placed in the Regional ! meet included Lynn Teuscher who placed ■bird in the 110 meter hurdles in 15.6, Jeff ■pnsness, who claimed a third in the steeple- chasel with a 10:00 time, Frank Gibson, who [took another third in the high jump with a 6-3 leap, and Dale Veith who threw the shot put 47'6" for a fifth place mark.
