Drummer is a sixth-grade at Parkplace Grade School in Oregon City. "The cast performed he said. Hopefully CCRT will participate year's competition and display theii and improvement. Jazz Ensemble kicks off music schedi! The Clackamas Community College Jazz Ensemble will be playing April 15 at noon in the Community Center Mall to kick off an active spring term. Concerts and music competitions will highlight most of the term's activities, according to LeRoy Ander son, music department chairman. The Jazz Combo will perform April 15 at noon and 9:30 p.m. at the Job Skill Olympics. The Jazz Ensemble will also, be playing April 16 for the Olympics in Randall Gym. Silverton High School will receive a per formance by the CCC Concert Band on April 21. The Swing Choir will be performing April 26 in the Community Center Mall. They will be conducted by Harry Gillgam. The CCC Concert Band will perform with the Lutheran Choir Society, a combina tion of choirs from different Lutherah chur ches. The concert will be Sunday, April 24, Page 8 at the Memorial Coliseum in Portland at 3 p.m. The Stage Band will leave April 28 for Berkeley, California, to compete at the University of California in the Pacific Coast Collegiate Jazz Festival April 30. They will be holding concerts at high schools and colleges along the way. The band will re turn May 1. A mini-concert in the CC Mall will be given at noon by the Concert Band Tues day, May 5. The Tri-City concert will be May 3 at CCC in the Randall Gym at 8 p.m. Oregon City High School, West Linn High School and Gladstone High School will be perform ing along with CCC's Concert Band. A mass finale will be conducted by Gary Nelson, CCC music instructor. The Swing Choir and the Jazz Ensemble are giving a concert on May 4 in the CC Mall at 8 p.m. Another concert is for June 1. The Portland Brass Society Con be May 7 at the First Congregational in Portland. Brass groups from thefi schools will be performing: CCC,M Community College, Lewis and Cl lege, Portland State University, i Portland Junior Symphony.
