Tests for nurses Screening tests for working Nurse Aides interested in taking “Practical Nursing for Employed Nursing Assistants" will be con ducted at Clackamas Community College weekdays (except Fridays) through Dec. 22. The winter term course will be taught Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 10 p.m. beginning Jan. 4. Information about the tests for the course is available from the counseling office, ext. 266 or from the nursing office, ext. 209. Camping for credit Clackamas Community College students interested in recreation may get a chance to go camping for credit. A class to train Outdoor School aids will be offered spring term if enough stu dents show interest in participating in the program. Students in the class will be trained as counselors for the sixth grade participants in the Outdoor School program and will receive three credits for taking the class and three credits for counseling for a week. The class will be limited to an enrollment of 30 students. To reserve a space in the class stop by Orchard 125 or contact John Bohan, ext. 348. Marijuana seized Less than an ounce of marijuana was confiscated from a male student last week by Clackamas Community College security guards. The student was referred to the Dean of Students. There were seven traffic tickets given out in the past week, two were for running a stop sign; two were for parking on the grass; and three were for parking in the handicapped zone. to go to for jobs. Officers elected The Clackamas Community College Foun dation recently elected its officers for 1977. Mary Sharp, Molalla, was elected presi dent; Dennis D. Skinner, 1st vice president; Arnold Thomas, 2nd vice president; Helen Hood, secretary; and George Nickles, trea surer. The Foundation's main purpose is to assist the college with election needs and to assist deserving students with financial support. Last year the Foundation awarded eleven scholarships to outstanding high school sen iors of the CCC districts. Hood and the surrounding ski areas were reported as fair with no snow last week. Marv Turner, Oregon City Police business department, said, "No ski areas have been closed. The road conditions are reported as clear bare pavement with spots of ice." Motorists should take caution because of icy spots, but otherwise the road conditions are good, Turner said.
