Although instructor sted mthe class description is Dale McGriff, ''i reality the class will be taught by mem bers of the Mt. Hood ski school at Mt. Hood ■leado’ws. ! There will be ten classes throughout the ’’arm, on Wednesday nights (7-10) or Sun day afternoons (12-3) for downhill skiiers, cnd on Saturday afternoons (12-3) for cross ountry skiiers. The cost of the classes will be $26 to be lc»aid at the time of registration. "A little iver $2 per lesson is a pretty good bargain ■or ski lessons," according to McGriff. Stu- lents will also receive discounts on their ift tickets and special rates on any rental iquipment. ; Once in the class the instructors will »¡vide the group into various levels of per- iformlice so that those who already know the fundamentals won't have to spend time reviewing. CCC will be handling the class from an organizational point of view. They will take care of recording the grades and credits. The ski instructors will handle the actual grading. Unfortunately the college cannot offer transportation to the classes. CCC tried once before to have a bus take interested skiiers to the mountain but it wasn't successful, so students will have to find their own means of transportation. Still, the price of the lessons isn't much and with the special student discounts, the class looks to be one of the best bargains around for those interested in learning how to ski or in bettering their skiing abilities. Those who are interested in taking the class, there will be a meeting during the first week of winter term in room 12 of Randall Hall where all questions will be answered, or feel free to question Dale McGriff on the matter. ally fell behind early in the second half, 42-51. Then Sampson, with just 10 seconds to go, made both baskets on a one-on-one foul shot, thus clinching the game for the Cougars. Sampson led the scoring for the game with 22 points. He also grabbed 16 re bounds. Bill Ullman contributed 16 points and nine rebounds. He was successful in seven out of 11 attempts. Dan Bauer also played an excellent game by accumulating 14 points during the game. In shot percentage, the Cougars also bettered their opponents.
