For about three months now,
I’ve been writing this column on
current events in sports, per
sonal experiences, and things in
general.
This week.I would like to try
something different.
Let’s just pretend that I’m
writing to you 10 years ago.
At this time of the year the
Portland Trailblazers were shock
ing the professional basketball
world when they beat the Los
Angeles Lakers four games to
none in the Western Conference
Championship and advanced to
the National Basketball Associa
tion Championship. After the
first two games, Portland’s oppo their history to date.
In other sports the Oakland

game lead on the Blazers.
