¡■¡culpture is the theme of the
i ® show taking place at the Paul-
A Art Gallery. The sculpture
shpw was arranged by Les Tipton
and Rick True, both Clackamas
i ®nmuni ty College professors in
art center. Centering on
«^■onal artists, invitations were
sent as far south as Bend, Oregon
an J extended as far north as
>®kane, Washington. The in-
'imtions were sent to sculptors
’ ®wn by Tipton and True, in-
: eluding a few alumni of
gBckamas Community College,
jwhe showing, running from
Jan. 5 until Jan. 30, was organiz-
edlo promote the new sculpture
garden outside of the ELC. It is
hoped that the sculpture in Paul
ing will spark some inspirations
for the new garden.
Sculpture is not just carving
things out of stone, it has many
different styles. The Pauling ex-
hibit displaying many of these
varied styles includes: cast
bronze, “American Cat” and
‘wrihelios; found object,”
“modern Pet”; marble,
“Voyager”; and mixed media,
“ascension.” These are just to
^He a few.
^Kulpture is one way for an ar-
tist to display his or her personal
self without using words. They
are single impressions that may
^■veY whole concepts. All
students and staff are urged to go
and view these displays in Pauling
1 Centers Art Gallery.
