Saturday seemed to prove
the adage that says “It’s
always darkest before the
dawn.” Dawn didn’t come,
and it was still dark as

munity College, but a glimmer
worked it’s way onto the
horizon. Even though Woods’
team was defeated 6-15, 15-9,
4-15, 9-15, she thought that
her team played well.
“We expected them to be
the toughest team we would
have to play, but we had no
place else to go from Friday’s
game but up,” Woods said.
Woods also said that the
biggest problem of Saturday’s
match was the ebb and flow of
the teams momentum, referr
ing to their hit-and-miss scor
ing.
Friday and Saturday are not
the kind of days that volleyball
matches prosper in. At least,

Community College Friday

Kathie Woods called it “the
worst game of the year”.
Woods said that the team
was missing Jenny Holzemer,
but that they should have per
formed better. “Our serving
was the lowest ever. When you
miss three serves in a row it’s
like saying that you don’t want
to win.”
Carrie Coe led the team in
offense with 16 kills. “We
were missing a key player and
we were in a different
line-up,” Coe said, “It was
hard to adjust, but she’s
(Holzemer) back so things
should get back to normal.”
