Jack Shields, director of the Theatre Department, said that he chose this particular play because it is tender, ex citing, has variety and is very funny. He also said he chose this play because it is difficult to determine within a new year how many eligible people such as students, faculty, staff and members of the community would audition for parts. Twenty-nine individuals participated in the audi tion. These individuals went through the process of taking portions of the play, studying them for a couple of days and performing them for the audition.
