    Jazz
Festival
comes to college
Clackamas Community College’s Vocal
Jazz Ensemble performed last Saturday to a
crowd of over 800 at the College’s Vocal Jazz
Festival.
Also performing were jazz choirs from
McMinnville, Mountain View, and South
Salem High Schools and soloist Diane
Schurr.
Schurr is nationally known jazz vocalist
who recently clit her first album and sang at
the White House.
“The evening concert was standardized by
standing ovations,” Lonnie Cline, jazz festival
director said, “One judge, Waldo King, said it
was an epic in the history of jazz.”
