Jazz Festival comes to college Clackamas Community College’s Vocal Jazz Ensemble performed last Saturday to a crowd of over 800 at the College’s Vocal Jazz Festival. Also performing were jazz choirs from McMinnville, Mountain View, and South Salem High Schools and soloist Diane Schurr. Schurr is nationally known jazz vocalist who recently clit her first album and sang at the White House. “The evening concert was standardized by standing ovations,” Lonnie Cline, jazz festival director said, “One judge, Waldo King, said it was an epic in the history of jazz.” Photos from upper right clockwise: Diane Schurr, nationally known jazz soloist during her performance.
