Art film showing “Art About .Art,” the multi media traveling exhibition from the Whitney Museum in New York, is currently on view at the Portland Art Museum.; There are more than 80 works by American artists such as Andy Warhol^Roy Lichten stein, tJimi Dine, Audrey Flack, Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg. Related to the exhibition is a continuing film series which features films about and by: well-known contemporary ar-J tists. the Clackamas quarterly review On Friday at 8 p.m., three films will be shown. “House of the White People” documents George Segal at work, on one of his sculptures. Larry Rivers is shown at work on painting, constructions and videotapes. Thé film, “Lichtenstein in Lon don,7’ records interviews with and public reaction to the artist. This prograrn will be repeated on Sunday at 2 p.m. The film, “Robert Indiana,” will be shown on April 15 at 12:30 p.m. The film will ex plore the creative process as utilized by Indiana. Also on Sunday is a film featuring a series of interviews with Jasper Johns and a view of the artist at work. All films are held in the Berg- Swann Auditorium and are free toz the public. at Clackamas Community College Bookstore or the Student Activities Office in the College Community Center. A bargain at 50 cents. Brown beat Professional. drummer ‘Mel Brown will perform at the college, Wednesday, April 4, at 7p.m. in the college’s Community Center Fireside Lounge. The free concert, which is part of the monthly series of fered at the college, will feature the Mel Brown Quintet.
