Quick pickers A guitar ensemble class will be offered on Monday evenings at the College spring term. Mike Davis, who has training in rock, jazz and classical music, will instruct the class. The class will be offered from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. in Randall Hall, room 208. There is no charge for the class. College mag FEATURE magazine, an arts and literary publication ser ving the Clackamas com munity, is about to hit the stan ds, according to Editor Happie Thacker. The fall/winter issue win- cludes poetry, short fiction, essays, photography, artwork and other material submitted by students, faculty and staff of the College. The magazine, to be sold at 50 cents per copy, will be available at the College Book store, the Student Publications Office in Trailer B and other outlets in the com munity. Thacker is already soliciting material for the spring/summer edition of the magazine, scheduled for publication near the end of spring quarter. Short stories, book and film reviews, artwork, photography, poetry and other kinds of material will be considered. For more information abut submitting material for the spring/summer edition of FEATURE,call Happie Thacker or Suzie Boss at the Student Publications Office, Trailer B, ext. 309. 4-H live judging The Clackamas County 4-H livestock judging competition will be held in Canby at the county fairgrounds on April 21. Managing this year’s contest will be the Clackamas Com munity College Ag Business Club and the College agriculture department. From this contest the top 10 in dividuals will be divided into two teams. These judges will represent Clackamas County at the State Fair and Pacific International. The bulk of the tournament will consist of evaluating two classes of beef, swine and sheep plus categories of meat and feed identification, a class of hay and one of oral reasons. The CCC Livestock Judging Crown Jewelers located at the Holly Farm Mall on S.E. McLoughlin Blvd, behind the Copper Kitchen Restaurant Team will be scoring the 4- Hers’ oral reasons as well as serving as official judges for the other divisions. All 4-H mem bers of Clackamas County are eligible to attend. Spring Rec Rita Hennessy, who has taught at Chemeketa Com munity College, will fill a spring quarter absense in the philosophy department when instructor Mayo Roy is on sab batical leave. Hennessy will teach two sec tions of “Ethics: The Path of Action,” Philosophy-202. Time change News Editing and Design, a three-credit journalism course, will be offered at 2 p.m. spring quarter instead of the 10 a.m. time previously announced. The course, J-218, will in troduce students to the techniques involved in putting a newspaper together, in cluding editing, page design, headline writing and offset newspaper production. The class will meet Mondays, Wed nesdays and Fridays at 2 p.m. Instructor is Suzie Boss. The student newspaper, The Print, and student magazine.
