Their second match was against Wash ington, another victory for the Generals. The third match was played against Benson, with a victory for the Generals, and their fourth match, a victory for the Generals, was against Jef ferson. “I think we have an outstand ing team this year,” commented Mike Soule, tennis player. “I think we have a good chance to take city championship and in being undefeated. In my opinion, Jeff Golden has a very good chance of going to state,” he con cluded. Members of the tennis team are: Jeff Golden, Ramon Corona, Mike Soule, Stu Hassmen, Mark Mooney, Dean Grudzinski, Lance Zakland, Wayne Lei, Tom Ker win, and completing the list is Mark Borquist. The team practices under the supervision of Coach Julian Amaya. Frosh, Varsity uphold traditions Preparation for state underway This season the members of the frosh and varsity track teams are upholding the Grant tradition of being undefeated. Cleveland broke the JV’s no-loss record by defeating them 115- 111. FRANK WOLF, frosh track coach, explained that he “lost” Rick Eatman to the varsity team. “The first time the frosh ran the 440 relay, they set a new record,” Coach Wolf beamed. The second time the 440 was run, the frosh made it in 45.8, breaking the first “new” record.
