Kappauf and fam ily were up to London to visit at G. A. Small's Sunday. C. C. Gilham caught a wildcat in a trap Monday. Miss Marion White, who is visiting her uncle, N. W. White, has been quite sick. J. A. Powell killed a coon Tuesday. There was an error in the publication of the list for the united war work drive. The amount given by Mrs. Belle Tavlor was $1.50 instead of 50 cents. LONDON. Some of the voting people of this plaee have been having a very enjoyable time skating evenings. Sehool will resume Monday after a several weeks' vaeation. Sallee has received word of the death on December .*11 at Boise, Ida., where she was visiting, of her friend, Mrs. Maggie Hohna Boast, of Boca, Calif., the result of an attack of influenza. Mrs. Boast spent three months at Cottage Grove with Mrs. Hal lee in 1912. Clyde Kerr was in Star Tuesday. Charlie Harlow went to Portland last week to look for a position. Little Melvin Hnllee is improving a f ter a long illness. Fletcher Harlow left Haturday for Walker, where he will tench school this winter.
