Installed were Mrs. Clara Whitted, president: Mrs. Barney Moeller, past president; Mrs. Kermit Lighter, vice president; M rs. M L. Faughender, secretary and Mrs. Fred Langston, Sr., treasurer. Mrs. Moeller expressed her ap preciation to committee members who assisted her during the past year. Mrs. Whitted outlined her program and read her list of committees for this year. Also discussed was a series of bridge parties the society plans to hold early in the spring. Named to committees were Mrs. Lighter, publicity; Mrs. Karl Kimmel, telephone; Miss Marie Butler, flower decoration; Mra Faufhender, hospitality: Mrs. Mike O’Brien, receptions; Mrs. Flenniken, altar linens: Mrs. Robert Cornwell, church cleanup; Mrs. Ernest Engle, pro gram. and Mrs. Geneva Downing refreshments. There w ill be a ‘Pay your dues’ coffee hour at the home of Mrs. William Bartels, 704 Whitaker Ave., from 10 a m. to 12 noon. Wednesday, January 23. “ Twelveth Night of Christmas” was the theme of the program and decorations for refreshments which were served by Mrs. Corn- well and Mrs. Whitted. Jack Spady, bishop of the church, of ficiated at the evening ceremony. Miss Stockdale wore a white brocaded suit and short white veil attached to a circle of white fur. She carried red and white carnations on a white Bible with baby breath caught in the ends of the streamers which fell from her bouquet. Miss Judy Clark of Eugene and Wayne Stockdale, brother of the bride, attended he couple. Miss Clark was attired in a light green suit and her flowers were white carnations. Mrs. Lan Stewart played the wedding march before the cere mony and " I Love Thee” during the service. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s father and step mother. VICTOR ALESSANDRO Fifth and sixth graders of Cot tage Grove w ill have an oppor tunity to hear the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra next Thurs day 15, at 10:30 a m. at McArthur Court in Eugene, when the organ ization w ill play a special chil dren’s program. This is made possible through the courtesy of the Civic Music Association which arranged the extra con cert. At 8 p.m. in McArthur Court the group, under the direction of Dr. Victor Allesandro, wil pre sent its concert on the regular CMA series. At this time, David Bar-illan. brilliant young Israeli pianist, w i l l be presented as guest artist. Bar-illan has made i many east coast appearances and has played with the New York Philharmonic, but is making his first extensive tour with an or chestra. T h e Texas group has been rated by Newsweek Maga zine as one of the top ten orches tras in the country and is making its first western tour. The special children's program has been arranged for only fifth and sixth graders in the Eugene, Springfield and surrounding schools, and there w i l l not be room for others to attend this performance in the morning.
