FARM - GARDEN Officers Asked To Attend Hebron Grange Practice By Mrx (¡ale Koln HEBRON GRANGE Hebron Grange will serve a 6:30 pm. pot luck cupper preceding the 8 p.m. meeting January 21 in order that officers’ drill practice may lx* held before meeting time. A good at tendance of officers is asked by the drill captain. Mrs. W. J. Hud son. Fourteen Hebron officers of a possible 16 attended the Lane county conference at Santa Clara Saturday, in a try for a 100*'l of ficers attendance award of $10. A report of the county confer ence will be given at the Saturday meeting this week. It has lx*en announced that Dorena grange will give initiation in the first and second degrees January 20. Heb ron members not having previous ly taken this initiation may at tend. Home Economics club w ill meet at the hall January 24 for a no hostess potluck meeting for work planning and year books. ( Delaved) ■HEBRON GRANGE Because of the wintry weather Saturday night, the January 7 meeting of Hebron grange had only 25 in attendance. Seven officers were absent. The open meeting to have preceded the grange meeting was not held because the speaker, tax assessor Winfred Smith ot Eu gene could not attend. O. M Pat fen reported that Cor vallis Frozen Food Inc., is inter ested in strawberry crops in this area. A meeting of the Farm Bureau is to be held in Cottage Grove at an announced date to discuss a lack of cane berry fruit and with ay eye on blueberries in the future. An electrical demonstration was announced for January 17 in Eu gene. Withdrawals from member ship was asked by Kenneth and Della McReynolds A card was re ceived from Walter Dodd. Clare Chapman reported on State (¡range Supply . Hebron Grange voted to pay the lecturer's expenses to a school for lecturers.
