Stantruf Family Visits at Disston By Mrs. James Northcutt Phone 6X643 DISSTON Mr and Mrs. Gay- Ian Stantruf and children from Medford spent the weekend at the Alfred Johnson home. Alfred Johnson reported that his milk cow gave birth to a set of twin calves Sunday morning. Both calves are strong and healthy. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Nagle of Coss Bay and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Prutzman and Terrv of Eugene were dinner guests at the Boyd Chittester home recently. Mr. and Mrs. Lindel Smith and children are visiting in New Mex ico. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Hass left Saturday for a vacation in Colo rado. Lou Troy Hass is staying with the Hass children. Attend Ball Game Mr. and Mrs. John Carr Jr. and Tommy attended the Black Sox vs. Roijeburg game Saturday night in Drain. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Janisch mo- tored to Castle Rock Thursday and brought Lois ' home from a two weeks’ visit with relatives and friends. President of the Oregon Cattlemen's Associa tion, stated that the deferment should not be construed as show- ing weakness or a loss of interest on the part of the proponents of the commission. “A commission would affect all producers of beef; therefore, ample time should be illofted so that all producers can attend meetings and become fa- miliar with the benefits and the requneemnts of a commission,” said Meador. Hearings were originally sched uled for next month.
