Creswell group was most pleased
with the fine reports given by the
various committees and was par-
ticularly interested in the Santa
Clara scrap drive that had
brought in more than $1,000. The
same project is underway here.

Golden Wedding
CRESWELL- Mr. and Mrs. J
C. Partncy, residents of this com­
munity for the past 23 years, cel­
ebrated their golden wedding Sun­
day, Marcrf 23, with their family
at the Creswell Grange hall.
Baskets of gold tinted roses and
a miniature bridal party were the
table decorations. Mrs. L. G. Kluk­
kert, a daughter, supplied the wed­
ding cake.
The Partneys have four children,
their oldest son having passed
away two years ago. They also
have 15 grandchildren and eight
great grandchildren. Present were
the two sons. George L. Partncy,
wife and daughter of Tillamook,
and J. E. Partncy, wife and four
children of Cottage Grove; two
daughters, Mr. and Mrs. G. B
Klukkert (Elsie) and children of
Ashland; and Mr. and Mrs. L. G.

Word comes that Miss Salome
Loewen of Creswell who accom­
panied her family to a Mennonite
convention in the mid-west sev­
eral weeks ago, will not return to
her position as operator at the lo­
cal telephone switchboard. The
Loewen family plan to return to
Creswell soon, but Salome will re­
main for a time at least, and will
keep books in the office of the
Mercy Hospital at Mound Ridge,
Kansas. Her sister, Miss Moselly
Loewen who also accompanied the
family on the trip will do nursing
at the hospital.
