Altogether the trip took them into thirty states. Friends of Ernie will be glad to know that he returned safe and sound after being considerably worried by word on the first leg of his trip that he was in New York with both of his Sunday shirts dirty and unable to find a Chinese laundry, and was having difficulty in finding his way around.
