E. Heinke, Past-Gov. of Eugene Lodge, has forwarded a standard petition for charter for a new Lodge of the Moose to be formed in Cottage Grove. Mr. Heinke visited Cottage Grove several times and recommended the forma- tion of a Moose Lodge here, since his investigations proved the place well able to support a Lodge of around 2C0 members or more.. I The Loyal Order of Moose—Maintain Mooseheart, Illinois, “ The City of Childhood,” also Moosehaven, Florida, “ The Home for the Aged.” No Organizers The Loyal Order of Moose discontinued the use of organizers many years ago, allowing the communities to do their own organ izing. To get a Charter for a new Lodge 50 applications for mem bership must be secured whose names will appear on the petition and will also be listed on the Charter. A Ten Dollar ($10.00) initiation fee must accompany the application. This fee will be de posited in the First National Bank of Cottage Grove and if found impossible to secure 50 applications, this money will be refunded to the applicants. Arrangements have been made with Dr. John T. Monahan, Opt., to accept initiation fees and applications at his office, 505 Main St. Dr. Monahan will issue receipts for the fee and make deposit in the local bank. Eugene Moose Lodge officers and Degree Team will assist the Cottage Grove Lodge in getting started. A Women’s Auxili ary will be formed at a later date. MANY APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE TO DATE, AND AS SOON AS THE REQUIRED FIFTY ARE RECEIV ED THE PETITION WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE SU PREME LODGE.
