Rites for Mrs. Potts Grange Meeting
Are Held Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary
Etta Griffin Potts, aged 63, were
held from the Mills chapel at
2:30 Tu«*sday with the Rev. James
A. Smith. Presbyterian minister,
officiating. Burial was made in
(he Masonic-I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Death came to Mrs. 1*0118 last
Saturday evening at 1243 Jef-
fenon street. She was one of the
pioneers of this section and had
moved to Oregon in a covered
wagon in IWO. She had resided
here continuously «Ince that time
and soon would have lived in this
section sixty years.

attendance at an afternoon and
night meeting at Eugene Satur-
day.

retary, and Lecturer Thiesen and
others of the state grange were
on hand.
This meeting was for the pur-
pose of instructing the subordin
ate officers in the rites of the
grange.
At the meeting Saturday night
the fifth and sixth degrees were
conferred and those taking the
work will be eligible to enter the
seventh degree which will be con-
ferred at the annual national
convention of grange at Portland
in November.
