In n?sponse to an invitation from the Presbyterian missionary so ciety, 70 women from the mission ary societies of Creswell and from othc'r churches of this city gnth- ered at the Presbyterian church Friday for a covered dish lunch eon and program. Luncheon was served at 1 o’clock and the after noon meeting was devoted to a program in observance of a day of world wide prayer for missionaries. Mrs. Charles Beidler presided at the meeting and all the societies represented contributed to the pro gram. Each group reported on the activities of its society for the current year. Prayers for missions and world service organizations, readings, talk- an«! musical □ uni berw completed the program. Mrs. A. G. Allen and Mrs. Wil liam Kelly entertained' with a 6 o’clock dinner last .Sunday at the __ Allen home, honoring their mother. Mrs. I. C. Ritchey, on her birthday anniversary.
