The proposed project will include an assisted living and memory care facility, which will consist of two single-story buildings totaling 18,828 and 18,483 square feet, respectively, and associated parking, drives, and landscaping. The effective Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) for the subject property has been identioed as Community Panel Number 41039C1642F, dated June 2, 1999. The noodplain boundar- ies at the subject property were revised in LOMR Case 15-10-1143P, issued August 31, 2015 (Effective January 15, 2016). If implemented, the proposed project will convert approximately 0.266 acres within Flood Zone AE to impervious surfaces. No buildings will be located within Flood Zone AE. Additionally, approximately 0.406 acres of Flood Zone X (Shaded), which includes a 0.226-acre portion of the memory care building, will be converted to impervious surfaces. The proj- ect has been designed to minimize risks to beneocial noodplain values, human life, and property. In accor- dance with Executive Order 11988, Floodplain Management and USDA Departmental Regulation 9500-3, Land Use Policy, the purpose of this notice is to inform the public of this proposed conversion or effect and request comments concerning the proposal, alternative sites or actions that would avoid these impacts, and methods that could be used to mini- mize these impacts.
